Project: This project examines how minimum wages and tax-and-transfer policies interact to shape outcomes for low-wage workers. By integrating economic analysis with sociopolitical perspectives, the project aims to identify how these tools can be designed to effectively and feasibly support the working poor. The analysis will combine evaluations of labor market impacts with insights from social economics surveys.

Job description: The candidate will carry out research on topics at the intersection of labor economics and public economics. The research projects involve (i) the use of micro data and the application of state-of-the-art quasi-experimental designs, (ii) the development of social economics surveys and (iii) the development of structural models of the labor market. The ideal candidate has strong skills and prior experience in one or more of these areas.
